We started our dream meeting this week with a poem by Charles Olson to spark our conversation. Have you ever used poetry as a way to open your creativity and dreaming?
We decided that dreaming is important. Giving ourselves time to really think about what education in 2023 and beyond could be. This short, insightful verse got us thinking. It might get you thinking about what your roots are - as you dream of creating a school and culture that truly prepares your learners to do the jobs of the future.
Here are a few takeaways from our conversation:
As leaders what we do needs to be in support of our learning facilitators, who in turn support the learners and learning.
We were reminded that all of our systems impact each other. Working together helps us all to meet the needs of all the people we served.
We have to spend time learning and growing, too.
What we are up to!
This past week we met at IU8 to dream about a WOL Design Lab (more to come).
Olivia and Lauren attended ACTFL’s annual conference and met up with lots of our WOL team.
Erin and I are at PASCD reimagining, reinventing, and reigniting with lots of other Educators.
