It's Been a Good Year

A reflection on 2023 at the World of Learning

Greetings Friends,

We have a lot to be grateful for at the World of Learning. We have a collaborative and supportive organization that supports us in Appalachia IU8, we work with 82 districts, mostly in Pennsylvania, who have become companions, as we provide instruction when they cannot find a teacher.

We have worked with the PA Department of Education and the Bureau of Special Education to provide ASL instruction across Pennsylvania, too.

We work with these amazing Virtual Learning Facilitators who show up for students every day! Helping us to keep what is important in focus.

We have partnered with Heidi Hayes Jacobs and Allison Zmuda to streamline and storyboard our courses and share our passion with 50 other PA educators. We have attended conferences to keep ourselves strong and nimble. We hear ideas that spark us and ones that help us say, YES, we are on the right track.

And, we have our own families who support and inform our work. Who keep us honest and humble. Always stretching - always growing.
