Authentic, Relevant and Engaging Virtual World Language Instruction - Inspiring Kindness through Language, Learning, and Culture
Lots of schools are engaged in Keystone’s, PSSA’s or some form of local assessment. What does that mean for regular instruction? At the World of Learning Institute we don’t miss a beat! Students are able to engage in lessons outside of regular class times by watching teacher created videos, joining an office hour, or working with a classmate on an authentic project or assignment.
Our teachers are a part of regular PLC (Professional Learning Communities) that help them to navigate meeting students' needs under a variety of circumstances. In the past month we talked about student directed learning through projects. We are excited to see the sharing, collaboration, and creativity that our facilitators prepare together for students.

It's a simple, yet powerful word and oftentimes forgotten in virtual learning. Many of our teachers take the first 2-3 minutes of a live virtual session to greet each individual learner.
Why?
Learners need to feel welcomed, empowered and understand that the teacher wants to get to know them and see them succeed. Being able to bring the learners’ interests into your classroom will allow them to make life long connections to not only the content, but learning itself!
